'The Conscience of Australian Football!'

Men's International:
South Africa 1 - Australia 1

10/02/2005: Qantas Socceroos coach Frank Farina will be relieved to come away with a 1-1 scoreline from Durban, where Australia were under the hammer most of the game. A 12th minute goal to Benni McCarthy was matched by a 70th pearler from Scott Chipperfield. Nevertheless, treating it as an 'away' qualifier, there were some positives to be taken from the game. The Australian starting lineup was: Mark Schwarzer, Lucas Neill, Craig Moore (c), Tony Popovic, Tony Vidmar, Jason Culina, Vince Grella, Marco Bresciano, Danny Tiatto, Paul Agostino, Brett Emerton. Men's International:
NSW 'All Stars' 1 - Libya 0

09/02/2005: A.P.I.A. Leichhardt Tigers and Central Coast Mariners defender Andrew Clark lifted the NSW All Stars to a 1-0 victory over the touring Libyan national team with his 3rd minute goal in Sydney on Wednesday night. In a fast paced and entertaining game the Libyan's came back into the game but poor shooting let them down. Many of the NSW players stood up to be counted, including Clark, goalkeeper Liam Reddy, and midfielders Nick Carle and Ben Blake. BOTN report: [ More .... ]
